应北京仲裁委员会（以下简称北仲）及清华大学法学院的邀请，伦敦大学玛丽皇后学院商法研究中心国际仲裁学院院长Loukas Mistelis教授将于2013年11月7日下午在北仲国际会议厅进行“国际仲裁裁决书的起草”的专题讲座。
Loukas Mistelis教授是世界公认的国际争端解决领域权威专家，曾于2006年被列为“国际商事仲裁领军人物”之一。其研究领域涉及国际商事仲裁、国际贸易、投资争端解决、国际商事诉讼及多元化纠纷解决等等。Loukas Mistelis教授学术领域建树颇丰，目前已出版著作13余部，并在国际权威期刊发表专业文章50余篇，多立足于跨国公司对待争议解决态度及企业法律风险防范机制的创新实证研究，在全球范围跨国企业内引起了广泛关注。
Loukas Mistelis教授同时担任国际商会、国际投资争端解决中心、伦敦国际仲裁院、联合国国际贸易法委员会、瑞典斯德哥尔摩商会仲裁院、瑞士商会等知名机构的仲裁员，处理过大量的国际仲裁案件，具有丰富的商事仲裁从业经验。
仲裁裁决书是维护商事仲裁当事人合法权益的最重要的法律文书，高质量的裁决书不仅是仲裁员职业水准的完整体现，亦是仲裁机构公正形象和良好声誉的直接表现。制作结构良好、论证严谨、分析透彻、内容精炼、可执行性强的裁决书，不仅是每位仲裁员处理仲裁案件孜孜以求的目标，也是对仲裁员专业素养和写作能力的极大挑战。
作为一名国际仲裁专家、资深仲裁员，Loukas Mistelis教授在此次专题讲座中，将结合其丰富的起草国际仲裁裁决经验，同与会者精心分享国际商事仲裁裁决书的起草方法和写作技巧，围绕裁决书起草过程中的应当注意的关键要点，向参会者介绍如何起草一份高质量的仲裁裁决书。

Introduction:
Professor Loukas Mistelis is the director of the School of International Arbitration, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. As an acknowledged authority in international arbitration community, Loukas will share his profound experience of “Drafting International Arbitration Award” upon Beijing Arbitration Commission(BAC) and Tsinghua University School of law's invitation on November 7 th , 2013.
Professor Loukas Mistelis specializes in International and Comparative Commercial Arbitration, International Trade and Investment Dispute Settlement, International Commercial Litigation and ADR, etc. In 2006 he was listed as one of the “leading lights in international arbitration”, 45 under 45, amongst the top 15 highlighted members of the list and is also listed on the Who’s Who Commercial Arbitration since 2007. Loukas’s publications include more than 50 referred articles and 13 books. These articles usually focus on innovative empirical research into corporate attitudes towards dispute resolution, which has aroused widespread concern in the global scope of transnational enterprises. Professor Loukas Mistelis has substantial arbitration experience, under ICC, ICISD, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SCC and Swiss Chambers in commercial, energy and financial disputes.
Normally, Arbitral awards are metals for justified parties. It not only presents the professionalism of an arbitral tribunal, a well-crafted award speaks more than thousands self-promotion when people review the credibility of an arbitration institution. Then, how to define “well-crafted”? Structurally completeness or concise description? Thorough reasoning or risk-adverse preference? Will difficult sentences cause enforcement issues? Every time when an arbitrator is about to announce his/her winner at the podium, he/she will always ask for answers.
As a seasoned hand, Loukas will demonstrate his manner, share his understanding, and talk some key points at his knowledge and experience. He will try to clarify the essence of awards and help more arbitrators to draft their own “well-crafted” awards.
