Mrs. Wang Hongsong was invited to give a lecture on the Conference of Managing Business Disputes in Today’s China

March 26, 2007, Mrs. Wang Hongsong, the Secretary-General of the Beijing Arbitration Commission, delivered a speech on Conference on Managing Business Disputes in Today’s China hosted by Juris Conference LLC. Her speech covered the history and development of the BAC and the management of the commission. Other speakers are the chiefs from the HKIAC, SIAC, ICC International Court of Arbitration, the International Arbitration Court of SCC, the Arbitration Board of IBA, CPR and CIETAC. They made comparison between Chinese courts and arbitration institutions, between arbitration and mediation, between arbitration in and out of China. The attendants were attorneys, lawyers and scholars. They were interested in the management of the BAC and were impressed by the speech of Madam Wang. The attendants agreed on the importance of independence of arbitration institutions and the close relevance between independence and impartiality of arbitration. They gave a positive appraisal on the development of arbitration in China while raised criticism about specific problems and made some pertinent suggestions on them. Arbitration institutions out of China expressed their expectation in Chinese market and were eager to provide arbitration services within China. March 27, 2007, Madam Wang visited t the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Mr. Slate, the president of AAA, gave a warm welcome to Madame Wang. Both sides introduced the information of their institution respectively and made a deeper discussion about the specific problems on the management and operation of arbitration institutions, ethical standards of arbitrators. Mr. Slate highly praised the BAC about its rapid development. Both sides expressed definitely the willingness of cooperating in the near future. March 28, 2007, Madame Wang was invited to attend the course of arbitration law in Law School of New York University, during which she communicated with more than 40JD and LLM students from different countries in an active atmosphere. The attendants put forward questions about the management of the BAC, the engagement and supervision of arbitrators and the rules,which Madame Wang gave response to one by one. The students had a better understanding of the BAC and arbitration in China after the interactive communication. Madame Wang discussed with the chief in New York University on the accepting the interns.. March 30, 2007, Madame Wang visited Mrs. Linda Livingstone, the chief of business school of Pepperdine University, Mr. John Mooney, the deputy chief and Prof. Ann. Both sides were willing to set up long-term cooperation on the MSOD program. Madame Wang also made an informal discussion with Mr. Thomas, the chief of Pepperdine School of Law and some professors. Both sides were interested in the cooperation in holding seminars and mutual visiting and reached consensus on some aspects。Madame Wang was also invited to attend the reception hosted by Mr. Starr.

All disputes arising from or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to Beijing Arbitration Commission / Beijing International Arbitration Center for arbitration in accordance with its rules of arbitration. The arbitral award is final and binding upon both parties.
